Turns out it has little sensor buttons on the doors and trunk that you can push if you have the transmitter on you instead of pushing all the buttons on the remote. It also has a cool autolock feature you can get the dealer to enable so that if you step outside of the transmitter range (2.8 feet) it will automatically lock the doors and enable the alarm within three seconds. This is a good feature in case I turn out to be an airhead.

However, it does recommend consulting a physician before use if you have a pacemaker. Apparently the transmitter can cause pacemaker interference.
I poked around the mazdausa site...didn't see this owners manual...what's the link to the 2006 OM link.

Thanks, BG!

EDIT***

Ah, it's in the owners section huh? Can you post this PDF? Or email it to me? Thanks!

Okay. It's a pretty big file, though. You have to create a user account by registering your vehicle. I don't have full and complete information yet so I gave it the minimum it required.

EDIT: I can't seem to get it to post the pdf. PM me your email and I will send it.

"..... wrote down all the recommended shifting points ......"

Don't worry about that. It'll beep at you when it wants you to shift

If you take out all the legal warnings, cautions and notes, the owner's manual is about 19 pages.

It's not quite that extreme!!!! There are nearly that many pages explaining that new advanced keyless entry/start thingy.

Hey. I am trying to get a job outside the house!!! Apparently I'm "over-qualifed." Essentially that meant since I did twice the required work or greater in the same amount of time it would cost them far too much to hire me for that particular position, since with the pay incentive for all production above the standard I would break them!!!! Ha, ha. So I have now applied as the supervisor.

No problem!!!! I'm hoping it is done and ready by Thursday morning so I can go pick it up and have time to drive it around awhile and enjoy it since it is currently my day off. Otherwise it wouldn't be until later in the evening (after 6) when I would be able to get there to pick it up.
