Cool The 1st HUG! - I Bought my RX8 last night!

It only took 4 years of being compulsively obsessed about this car.. that I finally bought it last night. I went to the dealership, picked it up, got it home and hugged it and got a snapshot taken!

I hope my attempt at posting the snap works.

Thanks to the forum for making the 4yr long wait comforting!

What kind of daddy are you? No date of birth, no age. Harumph.

Congratulations!

I still cannot believe the fact that I just bought the car. Allow me a tad bit of time to get used to the idea that I no longer have to crave about buying it and then.. i can get the details. Also, I will take more snapshots later on and post it.

Congrats man! Now get some winter tires on it right away, or park it. Those stock summer tires don't work up here in Canada.

Winter packages are at their cheapest right now.

I've been a member of this forum since November and fell in love with the car since. I test drove one in January and bought it the next day. I just love everything about this car, I can't wait til springtime here in New England! I haven't even had the chance to wash her yet because the weather up here has been crappy.

Oh, one last thing I forgot to mention (though I'm sure you already know)

Please remember to break the engine in properly. Your car will thank you later.

THanks all.
Winter tires? NOT yet.. i am not going to drive it a lot till it gets warmer. Maybe on the days when sun is out and roads are dry, will take it out for a spin.

and YES>> i am very carefull about engine breakin. my dealership mechanic told me what not to do.. and i have read the forums enough to know what to do and not to do.

so, engine breakin is on its way.,

just curious, did you get a good deal on it? nice choice of color btw, silver is definitely the most sophisticated color contrary to all the curse talk haha.

Im convinced that TiGrey is cursed myself... everyone Ive known thats gotten a TiGrey Mazda in the past 4 years has gotten into an accident before they even got the dealer tags off, including myself! Ive only had the car 3 weeks and some stupid 15 year old girl back into me in a parking lot on saturday.

Watch ur *** man, those cursed colors can be wicked. :P

O... I am very carefull with the car.. very watchful.

I think i did get a good deal. My parents did all the talking and dealing and I have 100% faith on them. Also, employee discount also helps.

rules to owning an rx8
1-dont turn it off until it warms up
2-check your oil!
3-they burn it on purpose, dont complain!
4-dont abuse it until its broken in
5-dont abuse it until its at operating temp
6-they need to rev to stay in good shape, rev it! (after its warm and broken in)
