From what I was told no. You need the kind like at the dealer. They run about $800.00-$1,500.00

 

The iDS at the dealer is about 8K from Mazda

You can get a RX-8 compliant Scanner from Hymee...or from Harrison or others.

Yes it should work, just make sure you can return it if there is a problem. But as others said you do not need dealer only tools to read and reset CEL codes. I have two myself, the Scan Gauge II and the Harrison one.

 

sweet i hope it works there 40$ on amazon........and as long as it can tell me the code number thats all i care about
