it says its CAN compliant....then it should work, right???

im just trying to make sure the only code i get is my 2nd o2 sensor bc of my cat delete

From what I was told no. You need the kind like at the dealer. They run about $800.00-$1,500.00

The iDS at the dealer is about 8K from Mazda :(

You can get a RX-8 compliant Scanner from Hymee...or from Harrison or others.

Reads codes fine on my RX8.

Yes it should work, just make sure you can return it if there is a problem. But as others said you do not need dealer only tools to read and reset CEL codes. I have two myself, the Scan Gauge II and the Harrison one.
