Well, I got a chubby stuffed bunny to put in the front passenger seat and I have a pet bunny, but she is not getting in my car.

Don't have a lil Bunny yet.

Huge week for you!

Car should hopefully be ready for me to pick up Thursday (insurance goes into effect then) unless the dealer prep people are really slow. It was supposed to hit the dealership last night but I don't know if it did since I couldn't convince my mom we needed to drive up there and see.

I'm supposed to hear about my job most likely late this afternoon, according to the hiring lady. Apparently there was still that "issue" with professional references since they have to actually speak with someone as a formality for completing the hiring process. The email worked but still didn't satisfy the speaking requirement so they are going to call my supervisor from when I did set-up crew at church before this job (my part time high school job) and talk to her, so I gave the hiring lady her home phone number. I called to tell her and she said she would make sure to give me a really good one. Works out nice for me. She's my friend's mom.

Just a heads up for you. Every new US RX-8 is getting a second pre-delivery inspection by a certified RX-8 mechanic. It's part of a new plan to increase customer satisfaction and ensure the final delivery goes smoothly.

As part of this Final Quality Inspection, your car will get a new set of spark plugs. Mazda has found that some RX-8's have had up to 70 start cycles prior to delivery........and most of these would have been cold shutdowns (ie, the car was not up to temp prior to shutdown). Many of these would have occurred prior to the dealer receiving the car.

New plugs should reduce your chances of flooding in future.

Now is that "a chubby, stuffed bunny" or "a chubby-stuffed bunny"?

cool. would you let us know when u have the final numbers? i am really curious, because i purchased through the ford employee buying program. and, it'd be interesting to know how it compares to costco's discount for future reference.

thanks

No problem!!! I just got off the phone with my dealer and they are getting my paper work ready. He did say, however, that it is not particularly likely that they will have the vehicle all ready and prepped for me Thursday when I asked about it. They have a shipment of 60 vehicles coming in this week from the port that they have to off-load, inventory, and prep. He said it would be more realistic at this point (since they still haven't gotten the vehicles unloaded from the trucks yet) to plan on early next week. He said it may be sooner but just so I don't get my hopes up too much for Thursday they are saying it looks more like later this weekend or early next week, so Sunday would also be good for me as it is my other current day off. It's still on the truck and fully resealed in plastic at this time.

It's driving me nuts!!! It is so close yet not quite mine yet!!!

Well, had I not had the recent financial issues with my current job which now forces me to take a second one and work 80 hours a week, I would have only done about 60 months. I will be making 1-1/2 payments each month at least though, so 84 won't really be 84. When I knock out some other bills I will be making double payments. It all works out. I just didn't want huge payments in case something negative impacts my work again and then not be able to afford my payments and have to give up the car.

I wish I could see mine come off the truck. Too bad my work holds me to an actual set schedule now or I would have told them to let me know so I could come watch. Be sure to post your unloading pictures. That way I can live vicariously through you!!!

Well, they also changed my accounts to all new ones, which actually has cut down my lines also and now don't allow overtime or anything beyond your scheduled hours even if it is off the clock so they wouldn't have to pay overtime. I found this out about a month ago, so I have been scrambling for a new job. I am supposed to hear back today or tomorrow about the one I want, which I would start the first week of April. This is why I will be having an 84 month loan.

Good for you Bunny, I'm glad to see you have the sense to know to pay more then just the monthly payments, don't let anyone give you crap for your financial decisions. You're getting the car of your dreams, you're doing it on your own, and you'll be in a better financial situation soon.

Can't wait to see those pics.

Thanks!! I figure if I want it bad enough, then it is definitely worth all the hard work to get it. Besides, if I do all this hard work now to pay things down and off more quickly, I won't have all these bills later on. I'm still young (25) and not tied down by a family yet, so it's not that big of a deal to work long hours. Besides, I really like working.

Can't wait to hear that the people are actually getting the 2006 model.

Just for the Heck of it I emailed three dealers in my area telling them That I heard the 2006 were being delivered Thursday. I received wierd replys:
1. Largest Mazda dealer in the area Internet Sales Manager sent me a special internet "No haggle" price of $24,435 for a $27,435
stock 2005 Rx-8! No mention of the 2006.
2. Another large multi-line dealer hasn't responded. Has advertised 2005 Sport AT for $20,789 (see above).
3. Small rural area dealer Internet Sales Manager (although near an air force base) replied first with a "We have one in the show room. Make an appointment, come in and let us show it to you. Thanks for choosing us."

A bit of advice: get off the internet, go to college, get a real job. That will help you pay for the car you cannot currently afford.

What's up with this woman? And half of the people on here are crankin' loads at their computers reading her posts. I've been browsing the forums for a couple months now, and most of BunnyGirl's posts are just nauseating - but every guy here responds with, "Will you marry me, BunnyGirl!"

3rd post and going for it eh?

Your second paragraph is kinda true, maybe we're lonely So what, maybe some here are nicer to woman. Not enough woman here IMO.

But your first paragraph strongly suggests that you may be a real *****, and we already got plenty of those!
