BHR & CHARLES HILL: A Beacon of Excellence!

In a world of vendors, there's Charles Hill at BHR, who stands out as more than just a supplier of performance parts for RX8 enthusiasts – he's an ardent RX8 owner himself. What sets him apart? It's the shared passion for these machines that fuels his dedication to designing and crafting top-tier performance products exclusively for the RX8 community. BHR's commitment to this platform is unwavering, from day one to Charles' pledge that "the last RX8 on the road gets the part it needs."

This summer, during a 250-mile journey, my 18-year-old car experienced a catastrophic part failure on the interstate, leaving it sidelined for most of the season. With the combined efforts of my local dealer technicians, MNAO technicians, and Charles at BHR, we identified the issue, diagnosed it, and conducted a comprehensive overhaul. The outcome? Not only did my car return to the road quickly, but it also performed as brilliantly, if not better, than when I first drove it off the dealership lot in 2005. Charles' intervention was pivotal in achieving this result.

What makes Charles and his company truly exceptional, in my opinion? To begin with, when I initially reached out via email about a problem that could have implicated one of his products I had installed years ago, he promptly expressed his concern and interest. Over a two-week period of email exchanges and discussions about the problem, he agreed to a phone call – not just one, but several, with one lasting nearly an hour and a half. We didn't conclude our last conversation until mid-September, once the car was fully restored to its optimal condition and Charles was satisfied with the results.

Through these calls, I discovered that Charles is a person of genuine integrity, truly invested in understanding my issue. I learned about his personal history and his fervor for the RX8. In our conversations, we also discovered shared interests, which we explored at length. In today's business landscape, it's a rarity for a businessperson to dedicate so much time, not only to help resolve a problem, whether or not it's related to their product, but also to build a personal connection with a customer. To top it off, Charles, of his own accord and at his own expense, sent me an upgraded version of the original parts I had purchased. He did this to eliminate any doubt about the cause of the initial failure and to ensure it never happened again. Who does that in today's world? The parts alone were worth many
hundreds of dollars, not to mention the time he invested.

In an era dominated by automated telephone responses and chatbots, it's increasingly rare to connect with a real person. Charles Hill at BHR defies that trend by not only delivering exceptional products but also offering unparalleled support, personal attention, and unwavering dedication to the RX8 community. With this kind of unparalleled support to the entire RX8 community, it’s imperative that we, as enthusiasts, when we can, support him, his company, and other smaller vendors out there who help us to keep on doing what we love to do: drive our RX8s! Thank you, Charles and BHR for being there for us!

My Pride and Joy.

I agree Charles and BHR are the BEST. And all his parts, service and advice have been excellent for my 2008 40th Anniversary Edition. He has also taken great care of my RX8 friends I have sent his way. Thank you for taking the time to shout him out for all he does and has done for years for this RX8 community. Cheers

Thank you for replying. Independent vendors like BHR need our support in order they in turn, like Charles, can keep on supporting us. I intend to keep this unique automobile for as long as possible and hopefully hand it off to someone else who appreciates it as much as I do. In the meantime, I intend to continue to drive and enjoy it as much as I can. My car is not a garage princess. That means, regular maintenance and repairing the occasional broken part here and there and keep performing in top condition. Charles/BHR, with his improving roster of quality products and his knowledge base, is an integral part of that plan. Without dedicated vendors like Charles/BHR, people like you and I will have a harder and harder time doing that. I can see you, like me keep your car in pristine condition. It will be us and vendors like BHR, who keep enough of these fantastic automobiles alive for the next generation who have yet to be introduced to these truly unique machines. With so many of them in backyards sitting up on bricks, being parted out, and turning into scrap, it is our vehicles that will survive hopefully long enough for that generation to pick up the torch and bring these cars into the future. RX8s get a bad rap in many circles, but those of us who have driven them as long as we have, have come to truly recognize how great these drivers are. With all of the new systems, electronics, and driving aids, in today's modern cars, drivers are losing more and more of the visceral experience we enjoy every time we get behind the wheels of of ours. Your car looks great, all the best of luck with it, and thanks to you as well for the shout-out to Charles. Like the ad used to say when I first bought the car almost 19 years ago, Zoom Zoom! ( yeh I know its cheezy, but it's true ;-) )Cheers and happy new year!

I'll have to talk to him sometime then, I still need a few parts but unfortunately, I've discovered the wonderful joy of riding a sport bike lol.
I'm currently missing the right wheels and even the front lip on mine 40th but I would like to get a BHR mid-pipe or cat-back

That's a great-looking car. Nothing is more satisfying than seeing someone who cares for and maintains their cars like that. I'm sure Charles at BHR will take fine care of you, that's a wise choice. While you're going through the trouble of putting a cat-back on it, might as well look into the the new coil and wire setup he has. I've recently had them installed and they are amazing. In addition to my own newly installed cat, with the addition of his new coils and wires, the car most definitely has more immediate pickup off the line and overall it's just so much more smooth with generally more "pep". Be safe out there on your bike. The temps here are just hot and in another hour or so I'm going to jump on my RE Roadster and take it for a much-needed head clearing! Enjoy the ride, on both! !
