Vinson.....this a manual or auto?
What is your location?
How high was the water you drove through?
Was it this high? or higher?

^............he needs to get it the hell out of there and to some place that knows what the hell they are doing!
We still don't know how high the water was, but I doubt it went down the intake. Everything else is suspect including coils, plugs, all electrical....etc, etc. Ya know? If the plugs were pulled....I wonder if any water came out? In other words.....just how wet was it and for how long?

vinson_rx8. do what brettus said here.
dry out the air filter
clean and dry out the maf
disconnect the fuel injection and spark fues then remove the leading spark plugs and turn over the engine for a minimum of 30seconds .
Reassemble and start normally

If that does not work and it is not an auto - tow start it ......

read this thread for how to do it

Simple!

Check the battery.

If you mean it didn't turn at all? Or is it turning but not firing? What about the interior lights and radio? Are they working? Even if they it doesn't mean that you have enough amps to turn the rotor.

The fuse box under the hood is very high butt if you got condensation in there... first check the battery connection. How old is it? You may need to replace the battery, that's all.

Really hard to say.

TOW it to Dozers driveway!

He does real good work at night.

I logged into RX8Club.com and saw someone was having an issue. I tried to be a good member and help him out, as many other members did as well. After posting useful information and the proper procedure to fix his issue, he completely ignores it and asks a question we just answered. Then, to make things worse, he no speaky da engrish and can't answer a simple question. FML.....

Vinson................believe it or not, some of us are trying to help..... but the language barrier isn't helping.
If this is the same dealer you were talking to about your car the first time, you need to stop and take your car elsewhere.
Since the water didn't get all that high, I don't think your issue is really all water, but something else in combination. That's not to say that the water didn't play a part, but there is just too much that it could be for us to help you over the internet without being there.
Sounds like the battery doesn't have enough cranking amps for one.
So............you either need to take it to a place that someone from SoCal can say is good. Or find a knowledgeable member of this forum that is close by that can help.

We told you that the dealer you are speaking with is an idiot, and he remains so! There is a warranty like was said above. Again.....maybe the language barrier is getting in the way here when you talk to whoever you are talking with???????

Somebody recommended Tustin Mazda above.......you might want to try them.

If it goes click click the battery is bad. Not enough amps

Charge your battery overnight.

When you do this keep the plugs out so the watter evaporates.

I can't believed you got that much water out. That's alot. Your air filter is soaked too. Dry that out.

^.............yep, sounds like it but that might only be the first step in getting it running again as you well know. Good advice above......I'll add that better check the plug wire sto make sure they are all nice and dry inside the boots as well. This could go on for awhile, it may be better to get him to a reputable dealer/shop.

Don't worry guys.....

I'm going there after work today to help this guy out. Seems like he flooded his motor good, but it's nothing that a little DIY can't help.

He speaks Vietnamese (I'm Korean).....so I decided to just go over there instead of trying to understand him over the phone.

I'll report my findings.
