You cannot hydro lock a rotary engine. I bet this so called "Shop" has no idea what a rotary engine is.

Bring it to a Mazda Dealer. Don't mention the water. If they are as "brilliant" as the shop you brought it to, you will get a new engine under warranty.

dry out the air filter
clean and dry out the maf
disconnect the fuel injection and spark fues then remove the leading spark plugs and turn over the engine for a minimum of 30seconds .
Reassemble and start normally

If that does not work and it is not an auto - tow start it ......

read this thread for how to do it

what bret said.

push the car or roll it down a hill if there is one close by.

let the clutch out in 2nd gear while cranking the car.

the car will start magically.

YOU CANNOT HYDROLOCK A ROTARY ENGINE.

It is IMPOSSIBLE.

Also, it was already stated in this thread.

TELL THE SHOP YOU NEED TO TOW START THE CAR.

Technically.......we don't know it's a manual yet. He hasn't said in either thread. Nor do we know his location.......not that it matters, but if we knew, we might be able to point him in the right direction!
