Alarm randomly goes off.

So yesterday at work my alarm randomly went off three times. Then today it randomly went off again.

The car is in plain view and no one was messing with it.

Anyone else experience this?

It sounds like your sensor is too low. Is it cherping when the wind blows too? Yes some people have had this experience too!

This happened to folks who had the "alarm shock sensor upgrade" installed.

Apparently, the sensor is not too good, and it can be adjusted only to oversensitive or not at all sensitive. I remember there was a thread talking about this.

I searched for "alarm sensor upgrade" and found the thread that tells me how to adjust it and I did and it has not spazzed out on me yet since doing it so hopefully that was it.

There is one that parks on the street where I work mot of the time when the street car goes by the alarm goes off. It's pretty funny, though. The street car drives past the physician parking lot and I happened to be outside the other day when the street car went by. I counted 14 different cars that had their alarms all start going off.

the factory alarm has a motion sensor? My alarm went off twice today. It woke me up I was pissed. This happened once before a few months ago. My car is completely stock and no one was messing with my car.

Mine was doing that.... going off randomly. Turned out the third party alarm bonnet sensor wasn't quiiiiite set right. Tweaked it and no problems since (touch wood).

Check your key, there is a place on it that can trigger the alarm - if you sit on it or push it accidently the car will go off...
