That's why they call it an "8 year Engine warranty". BTW.......it will be a reman, not a "new" engine. Why you think you need one? Be specific

Hey, that's pretty neat PS. How did you track that thread down? Isn't there a way they can keep them at the top of forums? I've also heard rumors of this other site feature that lets you qualify one or more posts based on specific criteria.

Imagine that.

There are quite a few 100,000+miles renesis driving around..

If you treat your engine like crap, don't change the oil, don't top it up, don't redline it, then yeah, your engine will probably die abit early.. Then there are the random lemons, like every car.

My dads 300C 5.7L Hemi lasted 42K KM. (23K miles or so)

You haven't said what is going on with your car that is causing you to worry.

Yes, '04 ATs tend to have their fair share of issues.

And INSTEAD OF WASTING TIME TYPING IN CAPS AND ARGUING HERE, you could have read through the massive thread stickied at the very top of this forum about the 8-year warranty!!

Thanks you but I have read post ok so what ur saying is 40 ppl have had engine trouble(which is not very big number compared to the number sold) and those that had problems probably do not know anything about the rotary or how they need to have oil checked and have more maintenance than their normal HONDA that everyone is used to.....everyone lives by just put gas in it and go no other maintenance needed.....

If ppl that have engine troubles did do the correct maintenace then there is a possibilty of a Lemon especially in the 04's since it was the first year of the car and there are always kinks that need worked out as with everycar....

Anyway y are you worried if ur still in warranty what do you care if you need a new engine if u get one that means that u just have longer to enjoy your 8 and it's free it's not like ur throwing down all this money for a new engine....

Search the board some more then come back and tell ME to read Trust me I have since LONG before i was a member and I still search and read to this day!

First of all, there are a lot more than 40 people that have had to have their engines replaced. I have had 3 replaced so far. And, if you think it's just people that don't know rotaries, take a look at my sig.

No as I said above ALOT of engine replacements are from ppl that don't know them I am not saying the rotary is the perfect motor but it is getting better by far! There are still it's downfalls and problems hence y u (a long time rotary owner) has had problems it's nothing u did just a design problmem

However there are ppl that had problems with this car that probably do not even know they had a rotary engine. Also i know there were more than 40 ppl that had engines replace that what Mr. Hoss said so I just let him go because just by him saying 40 we all know he did not search!
