Recommended Bay Area Mazda Dealer
I need to change my dealer, since we're already off on the wrong footing.
Anyone of you have experience with a dealer in the Bay Area, whom you'd recommend. I need a dealer that I trust and like where I have my maintenence done (need oil change pretty soon).

Have you tried Sunnyvale Mazda?
Ivan one of the best rotary mechanics works there.
IMHO:
Please stay away from Menlo Mazda.
I dislike that place lot.
Short story. I bought my car from them.

Oak Tree Mazda and Almaden Mazda have the better service departments in the area.
You don't have to go to the dealer for your oil changes or mileage services even while it is under warranty. Independant shops can do the oil changes and mileage services & should tell you if you have a warranty issue that needs to be handled by the dealer.

Here are my opinions:
I will not recommend Menlo Mazda. I bought my 8 from them, I intend that it never see them again. If you want reasons, PM me or search for some of my other posts. My experience with them has not been good.
Another dealer I delt with (but did not buy from) is Sunnyvale Mazda. I'm sorry I didn't give them my business - they have been helpful to me (both sales and service depts) post purchase - even though I pruchased elsewhere. If I had been more paitent and waited for the car they had ordered for me, I suspect I would have had a better overall experience.
Of course - "your mileage may vary".
Call Kevin (sales mgr) at Sunnyvale Mazda - see what you think after talking to him.

I'm working with Tracy Mazda (yeah, it's a bit of a hike but they have some decent prices on used 8's right now). So far everything has been OK.
I'm planning to go in on Saturday and see what kind of deal we can get worked out. If everything goes well, I could have my new 8 very soon.
Oak Tree Mazda was OK...but didn't particularly impress me.
