Thumbs down Quirk Mazda no good

Well heres a story before I bought my Rx-8 from Mazda Gallery (good dealership ) , but thats a different story , well about Quirk Mazda , I called them up and asked for a price quote and they basically blew me off because I was young. So I didn't take it too personally cause I would have done the same if a young person asked a price quote on a Rx-8. So I goto the dealership and picked out one car and asked for the price advertised in the news paper ad that was 1 week old. They said that they do not care what the ad says and that they will not sell it at that price. I'm like ok , so I goto Mazda Gallery and they matched the price of the ad and even beat it by 100 dollars less.

Then next day . . . I see the same ad again inside the Boston Globe for Quirk Mazda for the same price as what they said " will not sell it at that price". Well , too bad , they lost my business and I took it to Mazda Gallery. They didn't give me bull shiz like Quirk did.

So basically if you want to talk price , don't goto Quirk , they will do ANYTHING to make you pay MORE. Even lie.

You should report them to the BBB, and the Attorney General. False advertising is a big deal.

Don't want to bother filing and making a bigger problem out of the situation. I finally got my rx-8 and I am happy. Even though it was from Mazda Gallery instead of Quirk. I'm sure they will lose business from people knowing about what happened to me (from this post) , and that 1 customer matters a lot.

I drove it by Quirk before , I don't think they remember me , they have so many people going in and out , I don't think they remember customer's faces. That's probably why they blew me off , they didn't care if I bought a car or not since other customers will buy it at the price they ask.

Just goes to show that you should know your dealer before you buy the car.

Funny....I bought mine from Quirk...got it for $25,500. A 6speed with the sport package. No BS...great dealership experience. Granted, I got mine while the ad was in the paper. The one advertised was actually a base base 6 speed. $27,200 sticker.

I also went to the Mazda gallery, and was offered the same deal, but I didn't have the money at that precise moment.

I got the same thing as you 6 speed and sports package ,but I got it for much less than 25,500 from mazda gallery (the price that quirk advertsied) . Basically Quirk advertised this price , but would not give it. They don't advertise the price any more though. Maybe it was because they'd figure they weren't making any money ?

Well anyways , glad you had a good experience with them , maybe it was just a few salesmen that were bad.

I have no loyalties to any dealer...whatever dealer gives me what I want for a reasonable price, that's where I buy.

Quirk's service dept is horrible.
