Blahh , insurance is really bad . Anyways out there to lower insurance ? I already took drivers ed , anything else that can lower it ?

Insurance will sometimes give discounts for the following:

Getting an alarm, keeping the car in a garage, having a clean record, taking driving courses (I know at least one ins. co gives a discount to autocrossers), getting good grades (if you're in school), getting married, getting old, getting a sex change (assuming you're male to begin with)...

and yep I do get good grades in school , my insurance is still unbelievable , I'm embarrassed even to tell anyone how much it is lol

Not much you can do until you turn 25. That's the main sticking point for most youngsters, for a reason. They tend to cost the company money, so they get charged a lot more.

That's one of the first things they ask, btw, when you insure a new car: "is there anyone under 25 going to drive it?"

I've heard things differ state to state and company to company, but here are some ideas.
Some of these also depend on age as well.

Take Defensive Driving.
Drivers Training.
Buy a house! :D
Have good credit!
Get married!
Anti-theft devices.
Good student.
Air bags.
Keep a good clean driving record.
Have the highest detuctible rates you feel comfortable with.
Move to a better part of town!
Shop around.
Get rid of coverages you don't need.
Mess around with liability limits.
Drive the car less.
Have a multi car policy
Get it insured it under your spouse.

I don't think I can do any of that except the driver defensive course , and i don't even know what that is lol.

Damn....I'm paying $975 for 12 months. Full coverage and i'm 24. Erie Insurance group, one of the biggest here in PA, dont know all the areas of the US that they cover, but keep shopping.

Up your deductible. I changed mine to $500 from $250 and we're saving about $200 every 6 months now.

I do have a $500 deductible too, i should have mentioned that. I have a clean record, one speeding ticket back when i was 16...and i have been with Erie since i got my license. You have to be able to find something better than 2500 for 6 months, that is insane.

I live in Louisiana and insurance here is outrageous.... I pay $112 and change per month and that's with a $500 deductible. I'm well over 25! I've been with State Farm since I was 15, too.

Heat, humidity, hurricanes, mosquitos, political corruption, traffic, way too many people from someplace else, lousy insurance rates, etc.

Oh well, at least we have a constant summer and plenty of hot chicks in bikinis.

Yup I'm with State Farm, and I've got Life Insurance, Renters Insurance, Ford Probe GT, and my 8, and I only pay $2530 a year, all included... and in CANADIAN funds...

You may want to list the state you are in.

I am in NJ and I have NJM Ins. Co. and I would like to say anyone in NJ that is eligible should absolutely get this insurance. I am paying just under $1200 for the 8 with a $500 collision/$100 comprehensive. NJM Ins. also sends out a dividend once a year for usually well over $100. The 8 is cheaper than my integra. Good news I got was when I move to South Jersey (couple of months) my insurance will drop to under $1000.

Now as for quality - in the past 5 years I have had the following occur without an increase in the policy:

1) Honda Accord stolen and recovered (first time)
2) Speeding ticket (19 mph over - late for work)
3) Failure to show documents (reduced from unregistered vehicle - when I got the speeding ticket - I found out my wife didn't renew her registration)
4) Acura Integra stolen and recovered (first time)
5) Honda Accord stolen and recovered/totalled (second time)
6) Volvo S60 in accident (wife)
7) Acura Integra vandalized (because I stopped them before they could steal it)
8) Acura Integra seats stolen (third time - @ body shop from #7)

Each time they handled it perfectly.

For those outside of NJ - well to live here is to know how good this is.

I live within minutes of some of the highest theft cities in the country (Newark, Hackensack, Jersey City . . . ). Because these cities began cracking down hard on auto-theft, the thieves decided to go elsewhere to shop for cars. I believe Newark was even featured for its crackdown. Cars weren't being stolen in Newark anymore. The stolen cars were still being brought there though (the Accord was found both times in Newark). Even more special, the Accord had 190K miles on it the second time it was stolen. Why would anyone want a car with 190K miles on it is besides me, especially when there were better cars parked around it? I don't think I will buy another Honda product again just because they are in such demand.

Agent said when car I have ordered arrived, he would do better to keep our business. he didn't know I was about to scream with excitement about the low rate.
