When I took delivery of my 8 the dealer put a sticker on my windshield stating next service 3,000 miles. Should I wait until then or get an oil change at 1,000 miles?

 

I am not sure if you need to change the oil at 1K. Today when I went in to pick up my tag that had arrived , I spoke to the manager of Gunther Mazda in Ft. lauderdale. They have been great all along, with absolutly zero BS in my dealing with them. He told me to bring it in at 3K. That oil change was on them as a courtesy. {note: I will still get the Mazda freebie 4-years maint. at the 5K service date}.. Just to even it out, I will take it at 2500K, which should not be a problem.
The dealers now have a ton of RX-8's on the lot.
If anyone in the South Florida Area is looking..give Gunther mazda a try.. I have been happy with the dealership.
