Ban me? For what, standing up for what I believe in? What about Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, Elton John, The Kid from Holy Cross, should we ban them too??

i'll dumb it down for you next time; sorry, i just wrote a 20 page paper on modernism, & im a little grammar-happy right now. i did not say that defending the AT was madness, i said your ranting & calling people morons was madness, & it is (this is subjective, yes, but im not sure how many people would say its NOT madness, besides yourself). im not going to bother arguing any more, because it is impossible to argue with someone who can't make sense of anything & is too stubborn to admit to a damn thing.

i love how you intermittently try to rack up those posts... you are a very interesting person, rich.

im sorry for getting your panties all twisted.

like i said before, have a great night, rich.

I mean some of you guys need to lighten up a bit this forum is great until you take it too seriously, I mean have fun with it give your views and opinions without being intimidated by people that aren't open minded. There's no better car in this situation because it is all personal preference. There's no winners and no losers.......well maybe a few losers.

I like the panties comment. Kinda funny. The dumb it down comment....ehhh, not as clever.
Intermittently=Stopping and starting at irregular levels. I'm pretty regular with my responses.
I don't know if that was the right word to use?? Oops! You're gonna have to dumb it down even more.

look rich, im sorry for all this crap. i had a life changing experience due to some 'mature business man' & his coffee, and no offense, but i cannot honestly say you that you seem to be too mature. i understand the idea of defending what you believe in, as i do it myself, but maybe you could be a little more 'diplomatic', shall we say (or is that the wrong word?), when addressing an issue.

& for the record:

in·ter·mit·tent P Pronunciation Key (ntr-mtnt)
adj.
1. Stopping and starting at intervals. See Synonyms at periodic.

--------

"intervals" & "periods" aren't too irregular for you, are they?

hahaha...periods & irregular in the same sentence...you should laugh at that one.

Yeah pretty funny, but still not really a great word in that context. You should see it from my view. I'm like the kid from holy cross who just wants to be accepted for who he is.......I'm not a Nadless Boy George lookalike like him, but I am a 2005 AT Rx-8 owner and proud of it.!

im very glad you are proud of your AT, that is awesome. really. i cant be too upset with anyone who is proud of their car for what it is. i respect that, & i understand that the AT is what you chose, because it fits your lifestyle, etc. i would love to be accepted for who i am too.

i guess we got off on the wrong foot; it just so happens that my brother was paralyzed by a 'mature business man' who thought he could drink his coffee & drive his (automatic) mercedes at the same time. he was very, very wrong.

im glad to be done arguing for good now.... im retiring back to the suspension forum...

I sound like an elementary school principal? Actually, I hope I do because you sound like an immature kid to me (how sad considering I'm only a college freshman).

Trust me, there are plenty of guys on this forum who are open minded and do give their views as freely as anyone should and can (Ike, just to name one). What's the difference between you and a person like Ike? YOU go around calling people morons, altar boy, YOU go around making HIGHLY offensive comments such as:
"The only traffic jam you're gonna get in is the three way traffic jam with two other priests".
I PERSONALLY find that VERY offensive so please, stfu.
I actually don't really see any AT bashing here. No one denies that the AT has it's advantages but you can't POSSIBLY deny that the MT definetely has the performance edge. You CAN'T deny that there are more then a couple guys who have switched to MT. Just like you have every right to defend in what you believe in, we do too. And most of us agree, the upsides of owning a manual far exceed the downsides of having one. The difference between most everyone else and you is that most of us at least act mature.
I'm glad you like your AT, I'm sure if I was in your situation I'd be pretty happy about it too. But bashing/making offensive remarks is NOT needed when trying to stand up for your beliefs.

Sir, you've got to be kidding me. To compare yourself to MLK alone is an insult to him and everything he believes in. Did MLK go around calling caucasians morons? Did he go around and scourn Southern Fundamentalist Christian by insulting their religion? Enough said.

What it did say was that "THE DANGER in a MT is DOUBLE!!>>>>> "Hagerty found that driving a standard vehicle with a stick shift while eating/drinking can double the potential for an accident, since one hand is holding food and the other hand is shifting. That leaves no hands for steering, says Hagerty. Even more dangerous is using a cell phone, eating, and driving. "When the phone rings, the driving distraction increases significantly and, in a rush to answer, drivers forget they're driving," says Hagerty."<<<< Looks like they didn't say anything about AT, re-read your article MORON!!
What a great example of selective reading. Go back and read the very first line.
"Drivers who are drinking and stuffing their faces while on the road are a serious problem."
"as of 2000, distractions in cars were considered the cause in 25 percent of police-reported motor vehicle crashes."
"Coffee is the top offender because of its tendency to spill."

You are apparently the only person on the planet that can prevent spills as well... better rush out and call guinness world records before you break your streak.

Thanks also for adding the fact that your insurance agent is your friend's daddy. You continue to shove your foot into your mouth with your ignorant comments and prove what a child you really are.

so howabout them 330xi's huh? my friend's got one in 6spd manual, base trim. Drives great especially through thick snow. Good thing she's leasing it, too expensive to buy one and have to pay for after-warranty repairs.

I think that thing has 250bhp, tons of kick but, I still like my 8 better because that's what I decided to get.

I have absolutly no clue why you would get an 8 that isn't a manual because you get 40 more horsepower and then people that have automatics want more power. Buy the manual and you won't have to mod you automatic. I think that you guys need to take a day out of you busy schedule and learn how to drive a stick

You guys cry and say rich needs to be banned this and that- There would be no forum without argument and topics that people completely agree with/and or disagree...

For the records:
Moron is not a "bad word"
&
Priests have raped little children

and you guys attacking him based solely on his opinions and preference is wrong. I'm not saying that comments he's made shouldn't of been said, but it's actually hilarious because you guys keep feeding stupid opinions and statements- what else could you expect other than a sarcastic remark. If you can't a provide positive contribution to the forum whats the point of even being here? Morons.
