SOUNDS GREAT.

I just wanted to say I am very happy to know that Mazda got this one right.

Whenever someone says that a almost 500.00 purchase was one of their best purchases, and it was a Mazda developed item lets me know that Mazda is going in the direction.

I also am happy to say I had a little part to play in someones enjoyment of their Mazda vehicle.

It also gives me very high hopes for the CAI and coilover shocks due out in the nearish future.

They stick out a little bit, but it looks very good. To be honest with you, a friend of mine went to the shop while my car was there and called me becaause he saw the exhaust installed before I did. He specifically mentioned how impressed he was with its stealth look. Even though the tips are larger than stock, the entire system still looks very oem. Trust me, the fitment is awesome, and the tips look great.

Nah, it wasn't a plugin issue. Just after I posted that, I was able to view it. Not sure what the problem was. Anyway, I'm impressed with it, and I'm really happy with the sound! Thanks for the clip!

Also, I just got home and those two boxes were waiting for me on my porch.

Has anyone installed the exhaust themselves yet? I am wondering if the oem can be removed and the new one installed on ramps or jackstands or do you need a lift to get enough clearance.

Yes I more or less agree with this.Do not use WD40.The most effective lubricant to use is soap,I use dish washing liquid.

hmmm...well the only exhaust you mentioned that ive heard was the greddy . IMHO, the greddy is much louder, and takes away from the rotary sound a tad too much. It still sounds aggressive, but I think the MS one sounds a little better. I also feel that the tips look 100% better than the greddy tips. Thats the main reason I never considered that exhuast.

P.S. I should also mention that the exhaust sounds much better in person. I dont think a soundclip can do justice to this exhaust. Also, it seems to get a littler louder after driving around for a few minutes. Earlier this evening I was driving down a narrow street and I seemed to get an ehco effect. Actually sounded amazing.

no wd40 on the rubber hangers the wd-40 would dry the rubber after install and cause it to be brittle. Use grease or lube.

I just installed my exhaust tonight with the help of Nashirak and it took us about 2-3 hrs. The biggest prob was the rubber pieces that held it on the hangars(sp?). We put a little pb on our fingers and rubbed the hangars to make it easier to put on. It was a perfect fitament. The biggest pain was cutting the finishers. The system looks great and sounds SO much better in person. Drove around with a 944 turbo, mr2, and natshirak's 6 for about an hour or so. They said it sounds great and very clean. I thoroughly believe this is the way the car should've sounded. You definately hear it when you accelerate at any throtle and it dies out at cruising speed. I say it's a must have! I also agree with an earlier post, it sounds like sex. So I will attempt to post pics asap, I also have some short vids.

Bagman, thanks again so much for getting us such a great deal on a quality part!

To everyone else, enjoy!!!

I personally like the sound of the original MS exhaust. The only reason I wouldn't purchase it was becasue I wanted dual cans so you could see the differential from behind. Looks like this may be the one.

This is just to let anyone who might be interested that I received 2 kits in late yesterday.

They will be first come first served.

They are priced at 516.00 including UPS Ground within the US( excluding HI and AK ).

After these are gone I do not know for sure how long it will be for Mazda to get done with the next batch. I do know that Mazda is going to be raising the price on the next batch, how much is yet to be seen.

Kevin.....my pleasure bro. It was definately a good time, especially you letting me make the first cuts on your finishers with my dremel on your virgin car

And as a non-8 owner, I will testify that the car sounds amazing and the fitment of the tips is gorgeous. They are very subtle in their change but perfect for the car in just that way. System went in beautifully with zero hiccups, except for breaking the stock U-bolt because it was so corroded

Here are a couple pics of the exhaust installed. This should give you an idea of what it looks like from behind, how big the tips are, and far they stick out.
