I ran in the first league race last night and of course I secured the last spot There are a lot of people in the league. There are about 12 drivers in the light class so they had to split the class in half, and there are about 6 in the heavies. There are about 5 in the light 6.5 hp class and about 5-6 in the heavy 6.5 HP class. They run the 9s and the 6.5s in the same race, so the two different kart speeds make it a lot more fun and challenging with the track traffic.

Anyway, they just completed the new layout on Monday. It is a really fun layout, and I would say a bit more technical than the last one. The first turn out of the pits is a 270 degree decreasing radius turn that you can get quite a drift in. I'm sure it's not quite as fast if you didn't drift, but man is it fun. It is a completely different lay out, in fact they even moved the pits. We need to get an 8 night setup again sometime soon. They run a 30 minute enduro race Monday nights around 7:30 or 8:00 if anyone is interested in that.

Leon, I'm pretty much in my apartment only to sleep Thursday - Sunday these days. The one time I thought for sure I could hang out because Dick's was on a Wednesday, the stuff I do on Thursdays got moved to Wednesday

Nice!!! I have a couple friends interested too. Pre-reg starts at 7:30 and the race is suppossed to start at 8:00 but it could start earlier. It's $40 for non-members and $35 for members.

Also, I caution eating anything heavy or drinking too much liquids before the enduro. In league I've eaten some pizza and drank some soda before the race, and by the 20 minute mark, all the shaking and turning started to churn my stomach. I was really afraid of yacking in my helmet.

Cool! I'm glad you can make it . I'll probaby show up around 7:00 and get one or two warm up sessions. I've never done a full half hour either so this will be my first time too. I would think we'll get at least 50 laps in. League is only 40.

Yah, I definitely want to try the new layout before the enduro... I was thinking to try and get there around 7 as well but traffic on 405 south is always awful, so I'll basically just get there as soon as I can after work.
