LOL...I have a collection of paper funnels with my oil too. I should just break down and buy a real one, but the paper ones are lighter, they fold and take up less space.

Don't buy a real one, if you want a plastic funnel, just cut the bottom off of a quart of oil and then just turn it upside down. I have a couple if you want one

I'm pretty sure the world doesn't want me to have a plastic one at all. I drove to Target to get one tonight (they're $.99 there btw...) and they were out, got to Schuck's 10min after they closed (at 8pm, wtf? Autozone was always 9pm on the East Coast), tried 2 different convenience stores and neither had them, finally gave up and grabbed a bunch of paper ones from the 2nd Convenience store.

BTW, I'm probably gonna try and pick some people's brains this weekend about local things like which gas stations you guys tend to do best with (refineries being regional n all), what oil (since I assume that's somewhat regional as well?) etc. I know I could just use that nifty little search button, but I'd rather hear it from people face to face anyway :P

Sounds fun!! Although, I'm not sure if Q will be home from work in time. But if we can make it, I'll call you when we're on our way! I know exactly where it's at (used to live down there)!

Took mine maybe 10 minutes for the email to show up. Make sure to check your spam folder.

BTW, teams at Microsoft get "Moral Money" which resets with their fiscal year on June 30th, so they're all trying to blow whatever is left over on any excuse to party

Anyone bringing drinks? I noticed no one put down soda or anything so I grabbed a case of waters... they won't fit in my cooler though so they'll be warm.

First post back!!

You guys... they let me off the ferry first and I was trying to radio to let you know, and tell Alex I was looking for a place to stop for gas. Well, it was the Union76 at the corner when you turn left to go up the hill to go to Everett. I tried to wave, but only a few saw me. And Alex - you just drove by... so that's why I didn't drive back down I-5 with you.

Ugh... that's the first time I've ever used Union76... and I won't again. My car has no power!! Step on the gas and nothing!!

I'll post pics in a little while... just trying to cool off a little

I saw and waved :P

I had a blast guys, and it was cool to meet all of you. I've uploaded the pictures I took, I didn't take a lot though.

Here's the pics in a browsable form.

Here they are in original form, average is 2.5MB/pic in the original form.

The last pic in both sets is this crazy antique that was on the ferry with us.

Ohh, I was wondering where you were. It is all cool, with all the traffic I was confused and I had no chance of seeing you. Stick with Chevron or something Didn't fill it up right? Eh, my oil light came on going home, probably needs a quart, gas light didn't till I rolled in.

I should say I did have a great time, and wanted to thank you guys ( and chris for setting it up) for being pretty awesome. I'd love to do it again

I really missed the first post back... I had to go kayaking with my uncle though, first time, pretty cool stuff.

2nd installment.... At Deception Pass:

On the bridge:

If you look really close at the people walking on the other side of the bridge, you'll see Kristopher in his red shirt, then Chris, then Alex (fahrfegneugen!!!)

Yep, you guessed it - we lost Linda in the MR2 and Anijo in the new black 8 - but they caught up:

The view:

From the short span of the bridge - 185 ft drop

Mike (dondo) walking across to the large span:

Kristopher (red), Chris (grey), Alex (black) walking back from the large span:

Next set is (pardon the tangent I'm going on with this one - I just thought it was cool to watch) shots of this boat going through the small channel, battling some pretty ripping currents under the bridge...

Sorry I missed it guys. My suspension was just too squirrelly due to my spring problems. I did put the time not spent driving to good use and ripped out the springs and put back my OEMs. I'll see how they do with the RB sways and Koni shocks. I should be able to finish the rears tonight. When I finished the front all clunking and groaning is gone. I learned my lesson make sure you buy a spring/shock combination that has been proven to work together.

Shots of a guy taking a 24-26' sunbridge cruiser through the small channel under the bridge - you can see that the current is ripping through there opposite the direction he is going ... And I'm thinking "Dude, what a waste of gas..."

Obviously they made it through

Next set at Deception Pass State Park for BBQ!!

Lunch at Deception Pass State Park:

You can see us at the far far right..
.

Puget Sound is on one side of us, then there is a lake on the other side of us - this is the lake. See the tiny little dog in the far bottom left side - it came up and smelled my foot when I was standing there. I thought it was a bug tickling my ankle and kicked my foot a little to shake it off - I almost kicked the little dog a few feet!

I've got one last set left - the parking lot at the park and the trip home...

Last set... Packing up and the trip home, including the ferry ride from Clinton to Mukilteo:

Sitting on the side of the road, waiting for people to catch up:

I stole this one from Anijo so you'd know what I was talking about...

On the ferry:

Ha... I got a primo spot all by myself on the ferry!! 'Cept they let me off first and I got separated from my peeps on the way back

Alex - fahrfegneugen!!

The end to a very fun day! Thanks again Kristopher! Great to meet everyone!!

NP... glad you made it home ok. Yup, I'm sticking with Chevron. And yes... ... I filled it up because it was $4.55 there and it's $4.65 by my house.

I'll never forget it when, after the first part of the trip, you walked up and said something to me and Kristopher like "You guys are my heros.... 90 in a 35..it was awesome!!"

Very cool... kayaking on a day like yesterday. Where did you go? By Burien? Like Salt Water State Park, or Three Tree Point?
