String of Pearls III - 29 June
Once again we return to Whidbey Island. This marks the beginning of our 3rd year of doing these drives EVERY month. This time around we'll take more interesting path to the island and enjoy much of the shoreline we've missed the last couple of years. Registration and Details at http://www.the-winding-road.com/modu...ent.php?eid=38

I would love to join you all on this spectacular drive , but sadly I have to report that my 8 is in the shop receiving a new engine. I will however be on Camano Island in July and would be more then happy to register and join you on one of these drives if the dates overlap.

LOL... It's not too bad. Just like the last drive you guys went on, it takes about an hour to get to the meeting place. Then we drive on twisties to Deception Pass, stop for photos, drive to the park to BBQ, then do the 2nd twisty leg of the drive, which usually puts us at the Clinton/Mukilteo Ferry to go home. Kris said he's changing the route this time though, so not sure where we're ending.
It's worth the drive - the views are spectacular!

So I would just drive up I5 if I was coming from Burien? then we would drive that route and then take the ferry back into like Everett or so?
Sounds cool, and I should bring food for everyone?

Yeah, $3K for gas sounds about right. Luckily, at 150mph, we only have to spend about 2.5 hours in Oklahoma (assuming 30 minutes to pickup the C family and get gas).
