Smile It would be great to see some 8's out there.

It seems the NW 8 owners are more concerned about their cars looking "phat" than driving fast. There's a nice big Rotary meet with pedal to the metal driving at St Helens this weekend, and nobody seems interested.

Please, prove me wrong and come for the drive. I'll post details if you want them.

Mt St. Helens Park
We will be stopping at the point of interest, at the entrance of the park for our lunch break. Brian Heston know’s the area from here, so he will lead us the rest of the way through the park.

Note:
Please drive with caution. I know that everyone wants to show off his or her cars, but I'd rather see everyone make it home safely. Please take the road conditions into mind, especially in and around Mount St. Helen's.

Don't get too upset, there just arent all that many RX-8 owners in the NW that are on this forum, and most of them and very busy with work and family etc. much like you and have a hard time making it to events. No RX-8s went to last weekends autocross school, and only one made it to the last monthly meeting in Olympia.

Not to mention that some of us are going on vacation. I didn't get upset that all the 8 owners in this area aren't showing up to the shindig we are putting together in Vancouver, BC. I would love to come to the event but this isn't a good weekend for me and this is the first I heard of it. Also I prefer a sleeper over any stickered up car. I have had a couple of fast cars and you wouldn't have guessed it from looking at the outside of the car.

i'm not going just to **** you off. in fact i might not ever go to an event you bring up like this. lay of the guilt trips, it is not going to win you any friends or influence people. except for those that do the opposite of what you intend.

p.s. just so you know i am going to wenatchee. i drive my car fast every day and haven't washed it in a month nor waxed it in two. dont even own any zaino.

What else is one to think when 9 out of 10 threads are about tint, paint, wheels, or effects kits. Then a thread comes up about a drive, and no one seems to give a damn. Even a "Damn, I've got plans then" responce is better than, "Huh, a drive, Wonder what my car would look like with Enkei's."

BTW, this event has been posted for over a month, with regular updates from myself, but no other activity.

I appreciate that zoom44.

I'm sure I over-reacted. It's just frustrating to see a thread about tinting get 6 responces in an hour, and a post about driving get 10 replies in a month, half of them from the originator. I figure the cars look great the way they are, spen your money on gas.

NOOOOOOOOOO. I just visited the NW forum today for the first time and found out about this meet. I live right off of exit 147 in federal way and would have killed to go on a drive like that with other rotary lovers. Why oh why did i have to find out about this forum a day after the meet? Is there going to be another drive scheduled in the near future?
