The '07's got an LS2 and puts out 400HP and 395 torque. Don't know the torque on the newer model.
The bad parts are the pedals suck. You'll need an extender plate on the accelerator to make it wider to heel toe. The dumb pedal is a good 6-8 inches behind the clutch, so you have to pull your whole leg forward to use the clutch. I never knew how well placed our pedals are.
The seats are surprisingly not bolstered. I guess that is for the fat Americans. Probably fits thier demographic
But man can it drive. My friend pulled a .89g around a clover leaf and we didn't hear a peep out of the tires, so there was more if he pushed it.

I would go for an IS-F or M5 if I needed a 4 door.
Dyno tuned the FD on Saturday. It made 416rwhp and 406rwtq uncorrected. Not bad for a baby 222/226 cam. It idles and sounds close to a stock LS1. Now it is at the body shop getting wide body fenders installed and painted. Hopefully it will be ready to race in April. I am hoping to get it out to Pacific Raceways and The Ridge this spring.
Here is a boring video of the dyno run:

Ronin speed works for the front and Pettit racing for the rear. This adds 50mm and allows you to run 335 tires in front and 345 in rear. The rear flares will be molded into the body so hopefully it comes out looking nice.
The extra tire is definitely needed. With 265/35/18 tires 1st and 2nd gear just spin if you floor it. If you floor it in 3rd gear at 65 it will still spin.
Here is an FD with the same front and rear fenders, but I don't think his rear flares are molded in.

Yeah new tires and wheels are needed. I have 295/30/18 and 315/30/18 on Nurburgring 18x10.5 wheels that I use for race tires on the GT-R. I am going to use this setup on the FD until I feel like springing for some 18x12 wheels.
I believe the smoke is from a little bit of oil getting into the engine through the PCV, but not totally sure.

So working for The Man has its Perks. One of the guys on the internal Track/Autocross discussion lists works over in the XBOX studios and was asked to do the sound recordings for Project Gotham 3. Some of you will recognize the car, I know I've seen him around at events (his name is Chris).
How'd they do it? They rented our Bremerton for the day and went nuts. (Note: It's a WMV so it's a little funky to play). Fun times, I miss Bremerton

Have you weighed the car before/after? Just curious how different the weight and distribution is.

The car lost about 50 lbs after the conversion, but some of that was from the A/C. With a roll bar and the huge tires, it will probably weigh about 50 more than stock. Weight distribution is still 50/50.
