My Twisted Rotors v2 compression tester showed up and I rolled a 8's fenders today with my PoweredbyMax fender roller.

I have it but it's locked up. I need to get one myself and quit stealing nem's.

Same. This weekend for sure ill be doing my swap. Finishing sorting what little room in the garage, give this motor a bath and fluids.

So far I am happy with it. Not very impressed after looking into what it would have taken for me just to make one myself, but happy enough that it was worth the price and wait. I have tested 1/2 a dozen cars so far and it has worked fine.

Sadly I got to test a 04 RX8 today and got my first batch of unacceptable numbers... 74k with 48/36/29 in the front rotor, 13/08/10 in the rear @238rpm. Needless to say I had to break the news to someone who had just (> 3 months) bought the car. Thankfully he bought an extended warranty!

As far as fender rolling goes, I am happy to help people, but I would much rather wait till either A) Your car has been in a heated garage for several days above 65, B) We get some nicer weather.

Tonight I didnt get to do as much as I liked due to having to stay at work almost 13hrs. Removed the intake so I could tag each connector with tape and label with a letter. Removed the harness fully off the engine and other lil bits. Started to scrub, brake clean and wash as much as I could for tonight.

Tomorrow wheels off, driveshaft out and time to yank it out. Should beable to pull it out by the end of the night.

Ill post up some pictures of my progess. I had a few snags mainly a bolt that connects my autoexe chassis bracing to subframe that hmm broke the crappy factory tack welds of a square bolt. Dotco that bolt off

Ended the night with motormounts and whatever little wires or hoses I missed. Im just exhausted from a days work and head scratching. If I dont post pictures its cause I passed out soon as I sat down after a shower.

Next time I have to swap a motor it will go 1/2 the time. Im sure Dan can yard his motor out easily in a night.

Practice makes perfect

When I pulled mine last time I pulled it out the bottom cause I had a hoist and air tools....took a bit over 3 hours to have it sitting on the floor all stripped.

Update; now I have two mazdas with no motor in them :cry:

A/C pump was being the **** block. I sprayed the engine bay with super clean and now eating dinner.

remove the bolts on the pump....and fold it out of the way...and zip tie it to keep it from falling down
