Yesterday had Marc at FD3S Engineering install the Greddy Filter Relocation kit installed with the Prosport sandwich plate. Had a few leaks to fight threw but got it all sorted. FINALLY! The sandwich plate has been giving me fits for a few weeks

Aipex8 came over today to finish up my gauge install. The constant power wire had to be connected so the gauge settings are saved. And as luck would have it the boost gauge took a dump and is not working now. The needle just jumps around and is very erratic. This is not my video but this is what the gauge is doing with the motor running and turned off.

FazdaRX_8, Nice! I thought you were going to wait awhile before starting the install? You going to start a build thread?

I am building this setup from scratch, so this means it gets cut tac welded test fit, removed, welded test fit, start next piece, tac welded, install/fit. etc its a long process lol

just wanted to show that there is much progress, its all off now to be welded up for good
I will probably start a whole thread with lots of pictures from start to finish

the lever sensor works by shorting the leads when fluid is low and thankfully both the mazda and yamaha sensors work the same way. i just wired in the yahama sensor directly to the coolant sensor so now anytime either is low the circuit will short and throw a light. i tested it and all is well.

i chose to use coolant instead of oil because my oil light has been coming on somewhat randomly and i dont know why. i figured i should know what's up with that before wiring in another variable.

it came on before an autox the other day so i threw a quart in but then it came on again so i checked the levels and it was a bit overfull so i'm not sure what happened. i did nothing and it came on again later so i'll just do an oil change and see if it happens again..
My next mod is going to be a Sohn adapter, I wasn't planning a sensor or light, but that might not be a bad idea? Do you have a link to the sensor you used? And could it be hooked up to a custom LED light instead of tying into an existing dummy light? Also, what brand/weight 2 stroke is recommended?

Lots of different premixes but this is what I have always used.

AMSOIL Saber Synthetic 100:1 Pre-Mix 2-Cycle Oil

i used a yamaha 2 stroke oil reservoir like nemesis and gripen. the pn is in kevin's thread somewhere. the level sensor was the one for that tank and yeah you can wire it up to whatever you want. the coolant sensor is just about 12" away though so that was a good option.

Thanks, Dondo, searching through his thread now.

Easy, yeah, I do know about Idemitsu but was hoping for something I could pick up locally.

Pdxhak, I'll try the Amsoil out. Aren't you supposed to on your way to CA right now?

Thanks, Nemesis, I'll keep that one in mind. It seems like most people are using some kind of plastic tank for the Sohn, is there a reason for that? I was thinking of using a metal canister of some kind (a modified catch can perhaps), do you see any problem with that?

Watch out for any over-promoted Snow storms that might come your way that actually will not be anything more than a flurry, but will shut down the city because people are retarded! :-D
