oops, looks like I got it wrong and this was the worse of the two wheels.

During one of the sessions halfway through the day he pulled off early because he heard and felt something coming from the rear of his car. The email thread quickly spiraled into the old ROTA rant about them failing. I guess the Konig version of this wheel has similar problems to (from more responses in the thread). The problem isn't vertical stress from hitting a curb, it's lateral stress from going around the track on race rubber.

The lateral stress thing kinda makes sense... look at how thin (in that direction) the spokes are (and how much better looking they are! I like this wheels more every time I look at a post from Chris...) vs. the spokes on our RPF1's:

The plot thickens... seems those wheels may well have been cast knock-offs rather than the forged real thing based on how the wheel broke at the cracks.

God, at $855/wheel, that's painful...ly good looking. They're not light enough to be race wheels but they'd be totally pimp as street wheels. They look like Erik's actually, but I liked them better in his color, the machined blue.

Smallest size is 19" though... We should stop derailing Chris' thread, because his wheels are awesome too.
