awsome man i really appreciate that. my biggest concern now is the fuel delivery system. ive got the lines ran and all that but now im confused about the damn fuel pump and the retartded venturi system inside the tank. oh yeah and the sending unit. i just talked to a guy here at work that has a sard fuel pump and fpr that he said he would sell me so thats an option and i can get a sending unit from a 240 to take care of the gauge problem. i just need to know how to make the venturi system work. anyone had any experiance with any sard fuel components?

The venturi is quite simple but can be a bitch to route the fuel lines inside the canister - if you look inside the stock white canister (where the oem fuel pump was) you can see the venturi plastic piece connected with a thin plastic/rubber line that runs to the other side of the fuel tank. You need to plumb your return line to connect to the thin plastic piece the same way the OEM fuel pressure regulator did, this will make it all work.

More info in this thread of mine from a while back: https://www.rx8club.com/series-i-major-horsepower-upgrades-93/converting-return-fuel-system-question-93218/

thanks for the info man but heres what im thinking about doing. i have a 3 options that are in order from cheapest to not cheap at all. option one is to find out what the max fuel pressure pulse is coming from the ecu, got to radioshack and using the stock pump and just hooking vacuum up to the tank. option 2 is fabbing a bracket for a 265 lph sard intank pump, i would use the return system i just installed and have a small pump to transfer fuel to the other side of the tank. the last setup is exspensive but very effective, it consist of a aeromotive a1000 pump with a y block on the inlet with two lines, one for each side. I need input on wich would be best or ways to make this things work that wont break the bank..

I'm going though the fuel system right now too
i should be picking up my drive shaft this week

but it looks like i am going to have to drop my diff even though i didn't want to, will prolly be pulling everytihng in the rear tonight and tomorrow, including the dif, fuel tank and prolly gonna get rid off the evap system if i can

i think i am going to try and use the stock pump for now, just so i can see what power level it is usable for on a piston motor

i am still very confused about how to plumb my fuel system though

I hope you make a home video when you turn the key, let us know how it handles when you take it for the first test run.

so the more i look at my steering system the more i want to do somthing differant. getting the eps to work properly with the sr just isnt going to happen without rigging somthing, and ive done to much just to rig somthing that could break. the options ive thought of are still maybe going with a manual rack or gutting the eps rack and making it full manual. my biggest delimma is the toe at full lock is way off and bump steer is going to be a problem. ive never really messed with a steering rack before so im not to savy on what can and cant be done, Im considering modifiying my tie rods by putting and angle in them so i can clear the inside of the rim when the wheel is hard over and not put any more stress on the rack considering the tie rods are presently at a angle because if the rack being moved forward. asny thoughts anyone..sixgen?

So i pulled the stock fuel pump today and took it all apart and decided to jus sell the damn thing. im going to just get one or 2 external pumps and have them plumbed into each side of the tank and elminate the venturi system all together. the only thing i have left to figure out now is the level sending unit. like how to get it to work with an autometer gauge...

how far forward is you rack now

mines about 4 inches i guess and my tire rod ends are fine the come really close to some 18's i have but they are less offset than the stockers and i am getting 19's
but i may have to modify them slightly

other than that everything is looking good, it hasn't been on the alighnment machine yet but from what i can tell its going to be fine

i really want to get the stock fuel system to work so i am going to try and figure out a way

well after some research. I don't think I'm going to bother with the stock fuel pump.
I have an online walbro 255 I guess I'm going to use. I just have to get a fpr and probably a cooler.

I'll get pics of the setup as soon as I get it done

Yeah The Stock Pump And Regulator Assmebly Is Not Good For Anything Other Than The Stock Engine. Ive Got A Really Good Idea Wbout What Im Going To Do Now So We Can Compare Setups.
