Don't want to sidetrack the thread... but what is the point of having a Carburator??
Any advantages?

I don't even like anything retro, like shaker hoods, on our GTO's. On the RX8? It would like like some schizo "Mad Max" car.
I think it would look pretty bad ***. Then again, I am also talking with a buddy about building a tube chassis with a 427 big block and putting a Prius body on it. Just to see a Prius do a wheel stand down the track.

I like off-the-wall ****.

No need for a stand-alone computer system for one. Makes the wiring job one HELL of a lot easier.

it baffles me how some people are questioning the RX8 chassis... do any of these people realize that the RX8 is more than 100% more rigid than the FD3S RX7 was? and you see LS swapped and 3 rotor RX7's with 1000hp... the RX8 is very very well engineered and is capable of handling a lot more hp than the 13b provides.

furthermore! to simplyphp...
if a Corvette can put 1000hp on the pavement with Leaf Spring suspension (Lingenfelter, Goldstrand) then an RX8 can, FACT is that an RX8 is lighter, and with some suspension adjustment/upgrade and some nice fat tires the RX8 is VERY capable of utilizing an LSX, I'm excited to see this!

as for everyones weight concerns...

a stock Renesis weighs 344lbs without fluids or a transmission...
an LS7 weighs 458lbs...

granted you're moving the weight forward and adding turbos, but... I'd think that there's some relocation and lightened front components that can help combat the frontal weight gains... all things considered it's not that bad...

Bad ***. I can't wait to see it... Will it end up on the front of some magazine?

Your LS RX8 project is being done in Puerto Rico and that other one is being done in Iceland. Whats up with that? You have be on an island to do this swap?

Not to mention that Rgonza's car has already seen 1000whp+ from his 20b and his chassis didn't have any issues.

LS7 and LSX are two entirely different beasts.

LS7 is aluminum and LSX is iron, for starters.

LSx is also used universally to describe LS1, LS6, LS2, LS7, ect.

Can we slightly over bore it to get a RX428? (Reciprocating Experimental)
