I know the chance of someone coming back and saying "Hey guys, you were right, it failed..." are non-existent, not going to happen.

But has anyone ever come back and said "Hey guys! I did it! Right on budget!!!"

20B N/A.

Keeps the behavior and engine dynamic of the Renesis while being able to produce respectable AND USEABLE power. By far the best sounding at any RPM or load. Costs about the same as any other swap except for the REW (Which is a bit cheaper)

REW Turbo

More power than 20B NA at way less cost...easier to get replacement parts.....

easier to fit...almost bolt it compared to 20B

I posted by feeling, you posted by numbers. That does tend to be the way it goes.

LOL......I was thinking about going to a 20B Turbo at one point. One of the shop car is making 700HP at lowish boost...

Just couldn't justify needing that kind of power......or burning that much gas

Yep!
And with the newer BW EFR turbos it gets even better.

... But with all this talk of how a turbo Renesis is so great then you don't need to do a swap

Yup, it's not really usable, street or track. The only track cars making that kind of power are either F1 (lots of aero), NASCAR (never have to let off), or Unlimited Time Attack (astronomical parts consumption for a couple laps)

Isuzu V6 is the obvious answer.

Also, you forgot the (correct) option: Sell it and buy something good. I think you guys swapping are out of your minds. The RX-8 is a slow car with great handling, if you don't want that... buy another car.
