Same thing with LSrex, "Oh, crap, I can't back up all the B.S. These 2 cars aren't worth anything to anybody except in the fantasy land of the junkyard wannabe 'builders' who think because they can put a junkyard motor in a chassis and get it to run, that they're super mechanics, when those of us who have spent years getting paid to actually BE mechanics, or enthusiasts who actually know a thing or two about how automobiles are supposed to function know better than to waste our money and even more precious time on some half-assed swap that will never run or drive right.

Lol a Honda civic can beat a rotary in a drag you ding dong all right I will stay and continue to post on my thread only also I was a mechanic for years, that's why I accuired so many tools being a "paid mechanic" dosent pay. They make 25/hr max or flat rate as a plumber (so easy) I'll make 40-60/hr

That is really scary to think you put wrenches to cars for money.
That honda civic will never beat a rotary at the track tho.
The drag racing comment was in response to my saying the LS swap guy, who challenged 9k to a drag race then wouldn't back it up, couldn't beat his rotary.
The Civic could probably beat that LS RX8 in a drag race.
My Turbo Civic was faster than 99.9% of the RX-8's on this site, including the only REW swapped one to hit the drag strip and post numbers. So let's keep Hondas out of it,

Coincidentally though, Hoss-05 and I are doing a B series DOHC VTEC swap into his 90' CRX that will also be boosted. It should be fun, the engine/trans and swap parts are already purchased and in my garage, we just need to finish his Turbo RX-8 first.
I find it interesting to see where people came from car wise. I have owned a little bit of everything from a 280ZX Turbo to a Z28. I have met many people from this site over the years attending various events and it always surprises me what type of car guys the RX-8 attracts, everything from classic sports car guys to muscle car guys and everything in between . And lately all my die hard rotary lovers have been on a BMW kick, it's weird.
Hopefully some day the rotary returns in a new platform.
