Joker I finally realized that you truly believe you have skills. I got to TIG on some aluminum for my intake the other day and even after 15 years since the last time I picked up a torch I could still lay down better beads than that exhaust. But I still let someone else finish the job because at least I'm not delusional. I'm all for DIY but if you are going to brag about it you should make it something worth bragging about. And be nice to your lady and don't drag her through the mud.

i could join those pipes better with super glue and jb weld. i did all the work on my 8 the past seven years except a new trans that was covered under my powertrain. wait should i have spent a bunch of money trying to "engineer" a different trans with four flywheels instead of getting a free new one from mazda

You're young, we've all been there.

For some of us we are simply at the stage in our lives where we come out FAR ahead by spending our time making money and paying others to do some of our car building for us. Not always, but to a varying degree.

Or if you prefer i have a lot more time to spend on my wife and my company by hiring someone else to do particular parts of a build (more and more as ive gotten older), not to mention the additional time i have to enjoy driving them as a result. There are only so many hours in the day...
