Silence on the 1JZGTE front? I think he just realized he is spending $5,000.00 for 206 crank HP,

Well and that 206 crank HP would be brand new, he has a high mileage used engine. Nice Torque though, not sure what the power curve is like. Still really weak and way less than he claimed though and I honestly think he didn't know.

I don't think he could have picked a larger, heavier engine if he tried.....well maybe an RB26

He didn't even know what 1JZGTE he had and makes no mention of any mods, only how cheap it is to do at $5,000.00 and how much power he was going to make (quoting the latest single turbo VVTi single turbo 1JZGTE numbers) with it bone stock.

Sure he could rebuild that engine, go single turbo, and do a lot of things to it to make more power, but that is a moot point though when arguing how cheap and powerful this swap is as is.

I have the second version of the 1jzgte non-vvti it has been regulated down to 206kw... straight outta the toyota chase

dollar for dollar swap all day if you you have the ***** to attempt, if your not confident than maybe your getting to old for the tuner scene and loosing touch with what its all about

Man, I didn't want to say anything. I'm new here and don't want to **** anybody off or hurt their feelings. But damn! That setup is the jenkyest thing I've ever seen. The guy insists on using the wrong transmission for this swap, so he can save the driveshaft money. Resulting on an engine that is already heavy, sitting way too far forward. ****, if I was going to do a JZ swap, I'd probably modify the firewall to make the engine sit as far back as possible. That double flywheel setup is a joke, Joker...

Where are you getting your info from? The second gen 1JZGTE only had the recall fixed to save the turbos not more power, that wasn't until the 3rd gen VVTi engine.... But if you have a different source of information I am all ears.

I don't know what the hell you are saying in your second sentence.

He doesn't want to hear it. Earlier in the thread he made a statement to the effect that he doesn't have to make a safe car, because his local inspector takes bribes.

You see... That's the problem with these kids now a days. No pride. They cobble together a POS and call it a "missile", because it's cool to look shitty. There's nothing wrong with being young and broke, been there. But have some pride on what you do. It doesn't have to be perfect, just as close to perfect as you can get. Unsafe is just not acceptable.

The thing is that, unfortunately, we'll never know how that bellhousing exploded when those flywheels came apart. Because he'll never finish it.

From someone who is currently building a boosted "rotary lump" I disagree Sir.

Dont look at the swap just as to what your gaining, pay attention to what your losing as well.

Most of the people who hate rotaries dont understand the originality behind them, or care to.
Many also hate them because they are to lazy to take care of them.

If you want a straight line car, buy a Camaro or Mustang like everyone else.

Yes, 154KW (206HP) at 6200RPM with twin CT12A turbochargers. The info is all over all many Lexus and toyota forums and many other places.

I'm not butt hurt at all, I rather enjoy pointing out your BS. Insulting the Renesis or rotary in general doesn't upset me at all and i highly doubt anyone else here feels insulted or butt hurt either.

So far, the only person banned was banned for a whole host of problems, including flagrant rule violations on several occasions that had already earned him more than one temporary ban. He was always free to argue his case, he was never free to ignore the rules. Everyone else here is staying in the rules, or gets back within them after a reminder. "Gloves off" simply in that none of the staff is going to step in to stop pointless arguments or deleting posts to get the thread "back on topic". It's like any other lounge thread. The staff treats lounge threads very similarly, regardless of where they exist.

None of the rotary guys are getting "butthurt". I've noticed that it's a term that gets thrown around alot as a "defense" against logical and soundly reasonable arguments by people who are not able to provide either logic or reason.

Joker,

This thread was purely created to keep "junk" out of members build threads. If you read the first post, it clearly states

The Banning only occurs when certain people refuse to adhere to that.

Everything else is ok. You dont like rotaries? Im not a fan of Vagina pullin V6's.
Personal thoughts are not the problem.

Constant attacks or need for continuous vulgar language is a way to get banned.

. you can wink and play stupid all you want, you still have a first gen 1JZGTE from what I can see. I'll wait for you to respond with something other than nonsense. 206HP from a twin turbo 2.5L 6 cylinder and you dog a NA 1.3L rotary?
