Took two weeks? How do you know that? I'm not saying doubt your info just wondering cuz in the article it stated he wasn't done and that was two days ago. Also for a 2jz if you needed one part that you forgot to order it could take up to two weeks to get it in. Also I include the time to do an engine swap not knot the physical labor but the planning, the ordering parts, the in-between time waiting for parts and tuning just to name a few. If it is a engine swap with not much previous knowledge then the guy is either a super fast genius or your source is bs'ing or exaggerating or knowledgeable on this subject. Just my opinion. Any how on a some what related note the 2jz is a awesome motor and its great that its going in a previously under powered car.

two weeks taking things into consideration. it is not a full time job. the 2jz was previously in a fb, dude pulled his engine, got this one, everything worked out. I have followed the local thread and the dude bought my old IBM, "the bigger guy". They are not 100% done, but it has been lightning quick. That seems to rarely happen with the RX8, just sayin.

Yeah if you were to do a swap in your rx8 starting now do not expect to get done anytime sooner than next summer.
