Hi Jay, I don't think it's a GT.
Not sure about 08, but off the top of my head, I think it should have appearance pkg., Bose stereo, heated power seats, spare tire & mounting bracket, (optional if you didn't know). Might want to ask.
Their quoted new sticker price is nearly $10k less than my '04 GT.
Might want to research 08 GT pkg.
Good luck!

I'm not finding many 09's in my budget, not sure if I want to wait another month yet or not to make . But, it definitely means a lot if you're holding out for that MY. I'm hoping that I can snag a good 08 and take care of it as if it was my first born and hopefully I can get lucky.

Cajun, does the price on that 08 seem too low? It does have an accident reported, but supposedly only cosmetic damage.

Yeah, pretty sure it's not a GT for one, and seems like quite a bit of info left out.

I believe there is a way to search the vin# for more details.
I could be wrong about being a GT, does have leather & sunroof (a little less headroom, if you're tall.)
A rotary specific compression test is a must.

I didn't sign in, so there could be more there.
Be sure to read the new owner stickies and try to learn enough to ask the important questions so they know you aren't clueless.
Also, dealers usually ask more than they're willing to sell for, so that's something else to ponder.
Good luck!

I would say that a 2009+ also won't need premix, because the engine has 3 injectors already for the seals. The series1 could benefit from it because the center of the apex seal were un-lubricated, but that is now covered in a 2009.
I'd definitely agree, It all kind of depends on what you're looking for in your car. If you're looking for an end game rx8 to enjoy for many years i'd go for a 2009+.

If all you're looking for is a fun car to drive and eventually upgrade to another car then a pre 09 is fine.

Although it does depend on how it has been driven and maintained. Automatic rx8s are much more prone to failure due to the fact that they usually aren't driven as hard (rx8s love to rev).
So use your discretion, if it was well maintained and driven to redline maybe once per day there have been users on this forum with pre 09 rx8s running strong past 150k.
