Taillight fell out.

04 Rx8 recently had It's Taillight disconnect and fall out. Has this happened to anyone else? it's in the light shell.

Nope. Someone was probably screwing around with the lights and left a few things loose.

They're relatively cheap to replace compared to other parts on the car though

Just remove the lens assembly and dump out the bulb if that's what fell in ;-)
