seafoam good way to clean out carbon?

thinking about seafoaming my 8 this weekend but i would like some input on other owners who have done it to there 8. or any info would be awsome

Thanks for the link. I personally like seafoam but not as a fix but just a temporary puttoff. Only realway is to dissmantle and rebuild but that depends on budget and knowhow.

You will notice in the tests that 99 cents per gallon distilled water was approximately as effective as $8 per 8oz seafoam, and neither was remarkable in it's ability to strip carbon around the seals. Both did fine stripping carbon from the rotor faces, but that isn't where we have carbon caking problems.

I was thinking of seafoaming my engine, but i'm scared i might damage it. I may have to ask a professional to do it for me...

I seafoamed my fiance's RX8. It seemed like it worked well on her car. Idle seemed a bit more stable after I did it.

Her car has 116K miles and I seafoamed it probably 3K miles ago right before I did an oil change.

Just a side note, seafoam BEFORE you need to do an oil change. It ruins the oil inside the engine.
