Rx8 throttle responce bog

Hi I'm new to this site (posting) anyways I've searched everywhere on here for a similar problem like mine but I failed. Here's what's going on I have a 2004 mazda rx8 with 105k it has a 6sp trans. Anywho I've been having a problem where if I quick tap on the pedal at idle it'll bog and sound like its going to stall then it snaps out and revs up, it does this while I'm driving and while parked. I've replaced the ssv solenoid today (I was getting the code po661 which is that obv) and it still does it I gutted the cat already and cleaned the MAF, also I can move the ssv freely it doesn't seem to be stuck. I have a K&N typhoon and cat back exhaust please if someone can help me figure this out that'd be so awesome been looking for info and fixes for months!

Is that the Type 1 ? The one that kills your power and disrupts your tune by sucking in hot engine bay air ?

either put the stock intake back on or buy the AEM one. If you could do logs we could probably be more certain that it would fix the issue but that intake is definitely a liability.

I've had a sneaking suspicion it was the intake for awhile just was never sure there's alot of valves and solenoids to regulate the airflow to the engine which this K&N intake bypasses which I don't think it should ill try to find a reasonably priced stock intake and let you know if it works thankyou

There is a second hand stock intake for sale in the for sale section right now. Go have a look! I think its $75.

Where are you located?

I may be able to find one for you.

Or just try any junk yard.
