Hey, my name is tj. I have a 05 rx8, and once it gets to about 6.5 grand it jerks, loses power, and then gains power back. Can anyone help me with this problem? I would be much obliged.

Does the check engine light flash when this happens?
Have you read about the ignition coil, spark plug and especially catalytic converter failure symptoms yet? That would be a good place to start because this type of problem is usually a combination of the 3. Also avoid driving the car until you figure this out, to avoid further damage.

APV opens around there. Might be getting stuck or is slow to open. Either way check all maintenance parts.

Im taking it to the dealer today to get it checked out......

And no the engine light does not come on I cleaned the maf sensor cuz I thought maybe that would do it but it didnt.......I just got the car on the 3rd sounded great ran great and now it just started doing it 2 days ago......the computer said it was a cylinder 2 misfire.....I didnt think rotary had cylinders.....im kinda confused by this
