Are you talking about switching from a 6-port auto engine to a 6-port manual engine without changing the transmission?

I thought you had to modify all kinds of shenanigans to swap an s2 6port Mt into an s2 auto 6port. The real question is - why not just convert it to a stickshift while you are at it?

Literally nothing. Nothing you can do to this engine short of turbo makes any useful power difference. Save your money.
Except read the sticky threads in the new members forum and get your ignition in shape.

This is the key. If you insist on doing engine work, which I am all for to learn the car more, focus on engine reliability and characteristics. Get your cooling system idiot proof, same with lubrication system. Make sure your valves and fuel delivery are stable and dependable.

This car is made to carve corners. Without turbo charging or adding more rotors (or pistons), you won't be winning drag races. Stick to cornering and practice staying in your power band. Safely, of course.
