Not Starting

My 8 is really starting to hate my guts. Today I went out to it, put he key in the ignition and the car with the key light popped up. I have an 04 MT GT so I don’t think it would be a key fob issue. I have the battery on a charger just in case that is the issue. I’ve also checked all the fuses and they checked out. The 30 is the only one I’m skeptical on since I couldn’t entirely put my tester in there.

I’m not sure how related it is, but my front face plate on my radio disconnected from the cd changer. (Gotta super glue those screws back in. I’ll also include a video.

That's definitely an immobilizer issue.

Do you have another key to try?

There is a coil in the steering column that picks up the signal from the chip in the key. Often that is the problem. Have you done anything in that area that could have disturbed the wiring?
Sometimes the keyless control module ***** itself... this is likely an issue you will need a proper scanner to figure out

not that I can recall. Yesterday I was trying to dig through the vacuum stuff in my intake and I also checked the plugs. I’m not sure if that had anything to do with it. I did have it start right up after I did all those things too.

Coil in the steering column is where I would start. The coil it's self is what has like start/power/run on it right around where you put the key in. My car did the same thing and I had to replace it.

I would disconnect the battery and see if it works when it restarts. I have seen that a few times before.... also check your fuses in the undwrdash panel
