Alright, yes I've read about the key fob things here but couldn't find a definite solution. I've tried reprogramming the fob and have replaced the batteries and nothing has changed.

When I get in the car the little key emblem will flash but the car will start and drive. Same thing when I turn it off, little key light flashes on dash.

Other than that everything works like it should.

Okay so it's the key fob lock and unlock functions that stopped working?

If the key fob came from an 04 or 05iirc once they fail, they fail. The only solution is to replace. I replaced mine with a flip key off of ebay.

Also what numbers are you talking about?? I'm overseas and I can't get a key made due to Germans not being able to make a key for a US Spec car. I only have one key right now, it's really annoying.

 

Hi,I have a 2007 RX8 GT.It is a smart key configuration.Simple question-can a key fob OTHER than an original credit card type card be programmed to lock and unlock the doors and trunk?Ive looked everywhere and called Mazda to no avail.I would like a switch blade type.Any help is greatly appreciated!
