Bought my 08 Rx8 last August. Being looking at the forum and learning since last May and finaly decided to get one. The car runs great. Relatively New Engine(30k), ignition system (brand new). The rx8 really amazed me with its handling, sound and readline.

When I first got the car, I only learned how to drive manual for less than 20days , I just cannot stop stalling the engine lol. They taught me to only use the clutch to "lauch" the car. But now I am getting better and better.

The car recently has trouble starting, when I start it the starter and the flywheel makes a metal grinding noise, or the starter does not engage with the flywheel intermediately, replaced the starter but the problem still exist. (Flywheel resurfaced 15k ago and replaced the clutch). The noise also exist when rev in N or with clutch pressed in. Thought it was the starter's solenoid intermediately pushes the gear out, got the new&old starter tested, both good. After I pull the starter for the second time to inspect the flywheel, the ring gear on the flywheel moves easily, but the flywheel itself does not move that much. It's the flywheel. This is my first post, not sure if I can post pictures, but I'll post some videos about the noise, it does not seem a lot of people having this problem but just in case someone's having the same problem as well.
