Hello everyone. Recently bought a 2006 MT and have been lurking on the forum for a few weeks. Lots of excellent info which I've already put to use. Had a bit of a backfire, hot start issue and just resolved thanks to the info on the forum. Just replaced coils, plugs, wires and no more issues! 3 of the spark plug wires were improperly seated and the coil on the far right was shot. The car runs nice and smooth now and fires up immediately when hot.

FYI - the color of the coil (white/ghosting) is not an indicator of coil health. Many have reported this on good coils.

Yes, I had read that already but I used an ohm meter to verify the coils and found the one I indicated as dead had open terminals. Zero ohms across across terminals.
