Car will not start, please help

Hey guys, i am having a problem with my 04 rx8, to make it short, I bought it as a rolling shell with a couple things missing, I bought a jdm engine/trans and put everything on, after everything the car will not start(power does not reach the starter), no codes are showing up but the "security indicator light" does not shut off when the key is on the "on" position, instead it stays on for a while, than blinks twice, than blinks three times, I believe the problem is with that, anyone know the codes for that security light? I also tried jumping the starter to have it crank but it still would not start

Anyone know what this plug is for by the way?

Oh dam, I must have not seen the sensor on the bottle, I'm going to have to check it out, thanks! The shell had no ecu when I got it, the ecu I have in it now came with the engine I bought from jdmenginedepot, I know the code that comes up is "iDnumber data in the pcm and keyless control module do not match" there is a locksmith close to me that will come to me and program it for 135$

Not likely going to be that simple. The CAN modules need to be programmed to talk to each other.

Will need more than a key reprogram 😕

Yea figured wasn't gonna be that simple, I explained to guy my situation about the engine/Ecm not from the actual car and he was talking about programming them to each other, Idk what that exactly consists of doing because I'm not familiar with that system but what do you think needs to be done?

You will likely need the "as built" data sheet for the car...and a lot of luck with the JDM PCM

That's hoping the PCM is compatible with the USDM modules

It is a big enough PIA to get a different USDM ECU to reprogram to a car. I did it and it took 3 hours of pissing around with a iDS from a dealer
