Mop

Hi guys I just bought an '07 RX8 that had light front and damage, unfortunately the mop was damaged I bought new pump from a reputable RX 8 mechanic he tested it in front of me it all checked out but when I installed it into my car I still get the engine code saying my oil meter pump or stepper pump has an error. Anyone have any ideas? Ok guys I have tried 3 different pumps they all can't be broken. Is there anyway to get the car out of limp mode and delete the omp all together? It's like the shaft is not spining from the engine to make pump work. Any ideas to get out of limp mode?

I went through this as well. Some people have good luck with adjusting the stepper motor. The bolts broke on mine and I replaced it either another OMP and it worked just fine. This is a topic to read up on and educate yourself on as the wiring could be damaged, you could have bad pin fit at the connector, corrosion on the pins in the connector or a bad OMP. It could really be more than just an OMP.
