Yes...I will search for terms.....any one have the list of that warranty handy...now we find out it's the "OMP"...yes it is external and not covered.

The OMP is an external part attached to the the engine, it is not a part of the 8/100,000 engine core warranty. Maybe the SoHN adaptor is an option.

$1500 sounds like a ton of money for the OMP. I would email www.finishlineperformance.com and see what they would charge to order one for you. They're a Mazda Dealer.

Also PM Paul at Mazmart. They can get your a used OMP in good condition for much less than that I'm sure.

sohn adaptor sounds good BUT if the car sees the omp not functioning it might well put the car into limp mode. Can the accessport mask out the error?

Don't you still need a working OMP with the Sohn adapter or am I missing something?

What!? People been running the Sohn for 5 years.

Never heard of limp mode issue.

Also a junk yrad is your friend. Plenty of RX8's in there.

The pump needs to be functioning with the Sohn adapter..or else Limp mode is very real

I had a throttle issue that turned out to be the MOP...and it tested normally with a scope..and threw no codes...
