Lincoln Monument light?

Often when out on the open road driving enthusiastically this light comes on. It's not in the handbook and online I've found it to be a coolant level warning light. Is this right, it it a fluid level indicator or an overheating indicator?

I check the fluids once per week, coolant included and the level has not dropped at all. I'm certain that the coolant level is good. Which leads me to think the issue is to do with overheating. I know the rotaries get hot but on a long drive you can feel the heat radiating in to the cabin.

I live in Europe and here the number plate is located in the gap in the bumper for air to the radiator and it's always bothered me as I think it restricts the air flow through the radiator.

It's the coolant level sensor light. It is a known issue. Replace the coolant bottle with a new one, problem solved. Or you can do like most just live with it and periodically check your coolant level to insure you have enough. Or you can pull the sensor plug and the light will go away as well.

Thanks.
I'm on top of the fluids anyway so I might just live with it.

Pulling the plug is easy. It's right on top, and can be pulled up just enough to break contact but sit in the socket.

The light has also been described as a Rolls Royce radiator, a Greek temple or a merry-go-round. If you leave it on and a passenger notices it, there are lots of story possibilites.
