Hi everyone, new to the triangle engine. Bought a '04 with the engine out of it, but new rebuild. I have the engine in, hooked up, fluids in, it starts, but only runs for a couple seconds. I found this open nozzle above header on passenger side. What is it? How do I hook it up/where does it go to? Thanks

Top nozzle, above header bolt
Edit: Looked at the picture on my laptop instead of my phone
It is the Jet Air nipple. It connects to the accordion hose on one of the 3 connections..or on one of the 3 nipples of an aftermarket intake
It won't be a problem as it is just an air bleed anyway..you could leave it open like it is...although you don't really want dirty air to go in there. It isn't a bigger vac leak than usual without a hose though
so far, it's 50/50 whether I need it? Lol. About average for Internet advice so if it does go to intake, I have an aem intake. Or where you referring to intake manifold?
Awesome! So I do need it. That would explain one of the 2 open ports on my aem intake. Still have one more to figure where it hooks up..
No technically you don't, but it should be capped off if you don't connect to the intake. It serves to inject air to prevent fuel pooling in the intake ports.
The diagram posted shows where all of those ports should hook up.
Thank you everyone, I think I got it now. I have seen the vacuum diagrams before, but found it hard to follow without knowing the name of the nozzle. The color coding helped too, thanks!
If you've got other open nipples on the intake (as in your picture), you'll want to cap them. Everything after the MAF needs to be capped or properly routed, otherwise it throws off the airflow measurement.

I would like to hookup all the lines the way they are intended. I know the vfad was deleted because that is capped, but the other vacuum lines in the diagrams I am going to have to check. I'm pretty sure I only have the oil filler line hooked up right now.
