Hi all! New to RX8’s but not Rotaries

Hi All,

Been a lurker here for a while so decided it was about time I join.

I’ve got a 2003 Series 1, 231hp with a 6 speed manual in velocity red. It’s got 86,000 original miles (no rebuilds), and has every single document from the invite to view the “new RX8”, order form (and confirmation), recalls etc.

It’s been sat for 2 years but I’ve now started working to get her on the road but I’m also “resto-modding” the car at the same same time! At present the car has MeisterR fully adjustable coilovers and a toyo-sports cat back exhaust.

Many thanks!!

The Meister’s are very good. When my friend had them on the car (he was the previous owner), he had them bottomed out so the car was pretty much scraping the ground and rock solid. I’ve raised the ride height by about 15mm and softened the spring rate.

Hits the corners beautifully but still hurts like a mother when you hit a pot hole, of which there are many (UK roads are basically worse than when the Romans built them originally).

Even better when you’ve detailed the car they look awesome!!

All in all, for the money I don’t think you can go wrong, certainly on a street car anyway.
