RX8 Noises

I have a few noises with my RX8 that I hope someone can point me into a direction that it might be.

The biggest one being a rpm depending whirling/whining noise. I think this is maybe related to the Air Pump and/or SSV valve. Am I correct on this?

Also on first startup there is a pretty constant high pitched noise for a minute or so then it goes away.

The noise at startup is the air pump, it sends extra air to your exhaust manifold (to go along with extra fuel) to warm up the catalytic converter more quickly. If it's just a high-pitched whistle without any rattling/grinding noise, then it's operating normally.

The last point is the secondary air pump and it's normal unless you have a check engine light.

The first question is a bit hard to tell/understand without hearing the problem in question

Ill try and grab a quick video of the sound if I can.

Is an air pump delete worth it?

The airpump is an electric motor, it doesn't vary with rpm so it's not that. SSV is a valve, it produces no continuous sound.

Only delete the air pump if you're also deleting the cat. It's there for a reason.

Truthfully, these cars (all cars?) make all kinds of noises, you'll go crazy trying to identify each one. Is there an actual problem?

I do get a rough idel on the car, but I have coils, plugs and wires coming as a first step in trying to correct that.

other than that and some suspension clunks, I am not aware of any major mechanical problems with the car, but I am also not super familiar with the normal noises this car is supposed to make either.

Its the racing beat intake,

To me that noise almost sounds like tranny whine, but in that clip the clutch is in, so motor and trans are not connected.

Honestly, sounds exactly like my RX-8... but check that you don't have the belts too tight. That can cause whining/whirring noises.

The startup high pitched whine is the air pump. There's a rebuild guide here to replace the bearings if it's a screeching noise, but it just makes a lot of noise anyway.
