Ticking noise

Ive been having a ticking noise for a long time now, No idea what it could be, car runs with no problems. Changed spark plugs and still there, recently got a midpipe and still there. So I have no idea what it could be. Just asking for expeirences on anyone that located ticks. Thanks.

I also have a constant ticking noise.. mine sounds more like a belt that is ticking. It is pretty constant, but not sure what it is. I would like some more info as well if anyone has some.

Yeah mines constant and seems like it has to do with engine, I cant really hear it as I rev up I dont think. I can probably check out the SSV.

Did this just start or has it been going on since you bought the car? How old are your coils?

I've also noticed a louder ticking sound ever since I got my engine replaced. The original engine never seemed to tick that loudly, so I've been a little concerned. Doesn't seem to lessen after a fresh oil change, either. I'd like to hear some other possible causes as well.

Yeah it hasnt really bothered me. Just wondering what it could be. All other videos I seen the ticks were much louder than mine. I do have bad pilot bearing which is annoying lol

There is nothing to tick in the oil sections of the rotary.

Only ticking I could think of would be from injectors or coils, wires, plugs. Possibly a frayed belt but I doubt it.

Yeah, that statement was a bit of tongue-in-cheek on my part, but it was lost because I didn't really explain it. On my old MX-3, the lifters would sometimes make a racket until I put fresh oil in the engine. The rotary wouldn't exactly have that problem.

im also curious because my rx8 occasionally makes ticking noises on start up and sometimes mid drive but i assumed one of the radiator fans were slapping something but now after reading this i am guessing its the fuel injector. if anyone can at least back up my guess i will run a Fuel injection cleaner this saturday and let you guys know if it stopped.
