Cool New to the club, but not to rotaries...

Hey guys, just picked up this 8 the other day...

Got it for a good deal, and completely re-did it. Here's the list of stuff that was done, or I did.

Complete Ignition
Air Filter
Optima Red Top Battery
Catalytic Converter
Cat-back Exhaust
02 Sensors
Ceramic Brake Pads
Cross slotted and drilled rotors
MAF
Trans and Diff Fluid
SSV
Air Pump
Radiator
Temp *****
D2 Coil-Overs
Varrstoen ES 2.2.1 (18x9.5 +30 all around)
Federal SS595 (235/40R18 all around)

as well as some other small cosmetic things...

As soon as I got the car, I started order stuff. It piled up quick...

I can do a write-up for coil-over install for anyone who requests it, but it really is self explanatory. Here's how it turned out....

By this time, all the brakes were on, and all the other tune-up items. The car ran amazing now. Then came the new wheels....

They fit very well, with only small fender mods..... I then went for the bronze....

It definitely came a long way from where it was, and runs really well now. I run Protek Premix as well. I just have a P0171 code (lean code) that I'm still working on chasing down. I also have very small leaks on my rear tires around the TPMS stems, but I will get that fixed soon. I also will have some stuff for sale soon if anyone is interested, such as aluminum fender strakes, chrome fuel door, oem wheels and tires, and some other small stuff. Here are some of my previous cars also...

Had only 19k original miles....

But I'm glad I got back in to rotaries. The high RPM power is what I like driving. Either way, enjoy the photos, and one more shot before I bought it....

Thanks guys! That first gen was an awesome car, bridgeported and all. It was my favorite car, and I still wish I had it. I also really like the bronze as well. Hopefully getting more pics next week also.

Also, don't forget to have the entire front up in the air, and put the front coilovers in at the same time, and the rear in at the same time. If you do one side at a time, you won't be able to get the other side out due to the fronts being linked together by the sway bars and whatnot. And if you want help, just let me know, Towson MD is a little over an hour away from me.

Small update for today, checked tires and they weren't leaking today so hopefully it was just leaking when I had them off. Here is another pic of the wheels today...

Going to work the height difference between the front and rear next week as well as chase down that P0171 code, but it's looking good. I've noticed I have at least one blown speaker in my car (BOSE), and I think it's the one in the dash. Either way I might be changing out some speakers soon.

Still got some fender gap in the rear. Do you plan on going lower in the rear? I also have a set of D2's waiting to go in my car.

I'm pretty sure my rear are maxed out on both sides, but I have yet to fully dig into it and see if I can lower it any more. I might just raise the front a little bit.

Still haven't messed around with rear height either. Might just raise the front a 1/2" and call it a day. Anyways, hopefully be able to get some stuff done this week if I can find the time. And I have some fender strakes, a chrome fuel door, and OEM wheels if anyone is interested.
